Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all! It is a day where everything turns green and if you aren’t wearing any you might get a pinch or two! If you don’t have anything fun set in stone to celebrate St. Patrick’s day, you might consider making these cute St. Patricks Day snack cup.

St Patrick’s Day Snack Cups

They are the perfect snack cup to stuff with your favorite treats. Leprechaun crunch mix, popcorn, fish crackers, or anything you want to serve up to your kids. They make snack time more entertaining for little ones.

This craft is something you can let your kids help make, or you can make for them as a surprise and have it waiting for them. You take a green paper cup and watch it get transformed into the perfect St. Patrick’s’ Day goodie snack cup. Plus if you let your kids help it is a great way to work on their scissor skills, following instructions, and more.

After we made this we sat down and watched a movie and enjoyed our tasty snacks. It was a good time and the kids really enjoyed it as well. I love making the holidays memorable and fun. These would also be really fun to make for a school party if you are on the hunt for something fun to switch up things.

A Few Fun Facts About St. Patrick’s Day

  • St. Patrick’s Day is considered a national holiday in Ireland, and celebrate normally on March 17th each year.
  • Even if you aren’t Irish people around the world wear green, or else they might get pinched.
  • The traditional dish to serve up in Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day is corned beef and cabbage.
  • The shamrock was worn on lapels as a badge. The three petals on a shamrock also are supposed to bring good luck to those who wear it.
  • The three leaves also represent the Trinity in the religion aspect.

I love history, learning and when you can tie it into a fun project for the kids. Kids love snacks and eating, so it is a win win, right?!
