These Pizza Rollup Snackers are so simple, you’ll be wondering why you’ve never thought of this recipe before! Talk about pizza heaven!

There’s just something about pizza. The perfectly baked dough, whether you like it thick, crispy or somewhere in between. The melted cheese with a distinct taste. The sauce…oh the sauce! The pepperoni that gives it just the right amount of texture and kicks needed.

Each bite sends tantalizing signals to your brain saying “take another bite.” Oh, yes. There’s something about pizza that brings families together during family movie night, family game night, or “I don’t feel like cooking” pizza night.

Sometimes, the answer to any question is just, “pizza”. (Those are the kinds of questions I like!) And just like most things in life, I like to educate myself a bit about the history of things. (plus, I can teach about it in our homeschooling as well!)

Who invented pizza?

As the story goes, a baker in Italy in 1889 created a combination of food items (basil, mozzarella, and tomato) to showcase the colors of the Italian flag to honor the Queen. This is where the Margarita pizza is said to have gotten its start. (and thank goodness it did! Can you imagine if Pizza never would have been invented?)

What is the most popular pizza topping?

It comes as probably no surprise that pepperoni tops the list, but sausage, bacon, and even garlic are in the runnings as well. The great thing about pizza topping choices is that there are so many options. Some prefer cheese, some prefer veggies and some people choose not even to have marinara on their pizza at all!

What are the least favorite pizza toppings?

Since we educated ourselves on the most popular, we now have to ask which ones just aren’t all that popular. Pineapple, onions, and olives were just a few that made the list, but then again, it’s all up to personal preference. I know some people who consider those three toppings the best!

For this pizza recipe, can you use canned biscuits instead of crescent rolls?

Of course. Just make certain that you flatten out the biscuits the best that you can. Keep in mind that they will also be poofier when cooked because they are a different dough. The taste, however, should still be awesome.

I don’t know of many families who don’t enjoy a nice pizza pie.

I definitely don’t know of any kids who don’t love pizza. It’s a requirement of being a kid. We can even go as far as thinking it’s wired into us when we’re born.

I love homemade pizza. The problem is that it takes a while to make! I honestly don’t have time to make a whole pizza for lunch unless I make a small personal pizza in the Air Fryer. Besides, making homemade pizza in the middle of the day can also be messy. Add in homeschool or school in general, sports activities, youth activities, church activities, and the list goes on, we just don’t have time for the baking and clean up.

That’s why I’ve fallen in love with these roll-up snackers.

These are amazing for kids’ snacks or just a treat in the afternoon! I mean what kid doesn’t love pizza?! These tasty pizza treats are perfect! They are also quick and easy to make. If you have a teenager as I do, this is something they can also learn to make, too! My oldest loves being “kid in the kitchen”, so this is a win-win recipe!

On the days when life is incredibly busy, but the little ones still need to eat, try this recipe! Trust me, you will love it!
