Take a journey under the sea within an Atlantis Adventures submarine. First, go 100 feet underwater in a submarine featured on National Geographic specials. See gorgeous sea life and sunken treasures on this incredible tour. The company has three different submarines to choose from.
Whale watching and dinner cruises are also available in gorgeous boats. At the time of this post, submarine adventures are 50% off for adults and children with military IDs. Adults are only $58 and children get to ride for just $24. Cruises are also discounted and vary depending on date and time.
Polynesian Cultural Center
Experience Polynesian culture with live shows, dining, luaus, activities, and more. Remember, Military discounts are available and can be obtained by visiting the nearest ITT or MWR office. Packages vary and include (at minimum) dinner, admission to the Villages for activities, evening admission to the Ha: Breath of Life show, flower lei greeting at the luau, and souvenir book and CD.
The Villages are open from noon to six daily and will allow families to be immersed in the Polynesian culture. Cooking demonstrations, canoeing, spear throwing, and so much more! All village passes are good for free three days within the initial visit.
The Street, A Michael Mina Social House
These popular Hawaii restaurants offer military personnel 50% off their food purchases every day. The Street, which is a series of 13 restaurants on the ground floor of Waikiki’s International Market Place, has also been known to honor service men and women throughout the year with complimentary meals on days like Memorial Day. The 50% off discount is a forever discount, however.
The military discount was put in place to honor all the military does to protect and serve. Enjoy delicious cuisine at this special rate. The Ramen Bar is filled with incredible flavor and the Maui Onion Burger with different mouth-watering toppings will delight your whole family. The International Smoke will give you BBQ favorites Hawaiian style as you’ve never seen them before. There’s even a Chocolate Bar!
The Pearl Harbor Visitors Bureau offers some discounts for military members. Active duty members may drive to Ford Island to visit the USS Utah Memorial. This is not included in any of the tours. Walk-up active duty military guests (non-tours) to the USS Bowfin receive a $4 discount with military ID.

However, think broadly when it comes to businesses to ask as well! Hotels, restaurants, movie theaters and even car rental companies may offer some sort of varying military discount.

In addition to receiving discounts at many local vacation places and businesses, Hawaii residents may get more discounts as well. Ever more discounts and exemptions can apply for property taxes and special housing for veterans. If the military personnel happened to be stationed in Hawaii, they can also get a hunting license for the duration that they live there.
Also, don’t forget about the awesome discounts that are offered at the commissary as well! Even when there vacationing, you can still save money on your food and travel needs. It’s always a good idea to make a plan of action before you arrive. This ensures that you are able to find and use all the discounts possible.
